Cecil County, Maryland
- Connelly Road between Route 222 and Route 1.
BACKSTORY
With many rural roads in need of resurfacing and the cost of asphalt increasing, the agency used the HIR process for a cost-effective solution for their road resurfacing needs.
AGENCY PROBLEM
Many of the country roads within the county are in need of resurfacing. HIR is the solution that will allow the county to resurface more miles at a reduced cost and eliminate the need for milling. HIR also eliminates the need to purchase new asphalt, while bringing the roads back to like-new condition.
GALLAGHER’S SOLUTION
After using the HIR process, the road surface was brought back to like-new condition, increasing the drivability of the road making it ready for the final slurry surface treatment.
